2008 marks the beginning of the FarmerJae blog.
A few years ago I decided to pack up, leave the city of Adelaide and have a “Grain-change” which had me move to a small organic wheat and sheep farm in country South Australia.
Being a born and bred city slicker and world traveller, it has taken some time to adjust to the slower pace of rural living. It has been confronting living in a smaller population and it has taken time for me to learn some the skills I need to survive out here. Not easy to do, especially when in a drought.
This blog has been created to record the stories of my “grain-change” and a way to release any tales, thoughts, stories and rants that I might get whilst living on this farm.
